Getting To Know Yourself Through The Lens of Yoga: The Maya Koshas

The Maya Koshas are the 5+ layers of a human being. You can think of this as a framework for conceptualizing all the aspects of the self. These layers of who you are, or illusionary sheaths, are the physical body (Annamaya Kosha), energetic body (Pranamaya Kosha), psychological & emotional body (Manomaya Kosha), wisdom body (Vijnanamaya Kosha), and the blissful body (Anandamaya Kosha). Yoga uses this model to gain a #holisitc understanding of who we are. Once we clearly see ourselves beyond this illusion we are able to witness what lies beneath - our true nature, which is divinity itself. Check back over the next few days as we dive deeper into each layer, and give you tips on how to bring balance to your life through development of each.
